Just thinking there's something in today's medical culture that eagerly dismisses any therapy that is not pill, beam or stainless. Does this resonate for anyone else here?
Yes, it does! I do remember many years ago my father's doctor telling him that there was nothing that could be done for his enlarged prostate and that he would just have to learn to live with it and accept getting up four to five times a night to urinate.
Fortunately at the time I found a book titled "The Prostate" by J.I. Rodale that touted the benefits of eating raw, unsalted, shelled pumpkin seeds.
I told my father to eat a small handful a day and to chew them very well so that his digestive system could assimilate the nutrients in them. My father was a skeptic at first but three days later, when he slept through the entire night undisturbed for the first time in years, he became a believer. Also, when he had his next exam his doctor told him he had the prostate of a young man and wanted to know what my father had done to accomplish this. My father then told his doctor about
the pumpkin seeds, whereupon his doctor told him that he had never heard of such a thing.
