A. Prostate, left lobe, needle biopsy: Adenocarcinoma, high grade,
involving 20% of the specimen (3 of 6 cores). See comment.
B. Prostate, right lobe, needle biopsy: Adenocarcinoma, high
grade, involving 20% of the specimen (3 of 7 cores). See comment.
C. Prostate, central region of interest No. 1, needle biopsy:
Adenocarcinoma, high grade, involving 20% of the specimen (2 of 4
cores). See comment.
Comment: The tumor in all cores is high grade, focally with
features of small cell carcinoma. There is marked treatment effect.
Special stains (CK903, p63/P504s, and CK AE1/AE3) support presence
of tumor (performed on blocks B1 and C) by demonstrating
infiltrative growth and altered keratin distribution. The small
cell component of the tumor is negative for PSA.

Salvage Radical Prostatectomy scheduled for 8/18 (Thursday)@ Mayo.
I'm curious when others were able to fly home post SRP?
I've been told to expect 2 nights in the hospital. Hoping I'll be
able to fly a couple days later... Maybe Sunday evening the 21st?
Thanks!
