......need to register with Doctor so that I am ready for 30 month PSA test in November. I need to continue with ultra-sensitive tests.....are they directly comparable to US? Anything specific I should ask?

I lived in the UK (but my PC experience has been in France). Medical care in the UK is very good. Get yourself registered with a GP (one you like - ask friends and neighbours for suggestions) and explain to the GP that you need the ultra-sensitive test. It shouldn't be a problem.

It looks like you have absolutely no reason for the ultra-sensitive PSA test, unless there is something that you didn't include in your signature. That test is for men with unfavorable pathology, and simply causes undue worry (aka "PSA Anxiety"...look it up) in men like you.

I agree with JackH!

I have an unfavorable pathology but I still take the less sensitive test. Why? Because they aren't going to start treating until my PSA reaches 0.2.

Too much worry in watching those tiny, tiny numbers bounce around.

Why do you think you need that? Discuss it with your new doctor! With your very favorable pathology and 2 years out from RP he/she would probably suggest a yearly standard test. The clinical benefit of knowing these low values ​​is insignificant and will not outweigh the concerns in you that over-testing causes.

Thanks for the input. Ultra-sensitive because that is what my URO advised. Agreed now I'm 2+ years out the lower amplitude of emotions associated with a normal test might be preferable.

First off, register with your local GP.
If it was me, I'd want him to give me a referral to the relevent dept of the local hospital just so they can review
the case and suggest how often and how sensitive the PSA test should be.
