Healing Well Friends,
It's with immense sadness and a broken heart that I tell you my dear sweet man passed in early August just a day after his 74th birthday. I've been unable to post until now. Don was diagnosed in late 2005 and had surgery but the cancer had already spread. He lived to walk our daughter down the aisle, see our son get married, be a Pop Pop to 4 wonderful grandchildren, continued to work for 9 years through continual treatments and in his last year he was the building contractor on our new home and our son worked by his side every day. He was an amazing man, full of life and love. We were married 50 years - I married him at 16 years old and I miss him more with each passing day. Well before he passed we gave each other forgiveness, expressed our love and commitment and carried on the best we could. We were fortunate to have him home with us until his last breath and would not have had it any other way. He was a wonderful man, quick to laugh, kind and easy to love.
I hope this post gives some encouragement and I wish every one of you the best in your fight and thanks to all who supported ours.
Susan
