Glad to hear it was a lab error.

Still, it's worrying that the lab could make that kind of error.

Well, technically, two different labs. (The one his primary doc uses, and the one in house at TUCC).

But his primary has demanded a free retest on his annual full blood panel. They agreed that they will retest his PSA and if his PSA on first test was wrong, then they will redo the whole blood panel without charging insurance.

Thank goodness. I can't even imagine the stress, but I do know the utter relief in hearing undetectable. Glad for you both.

What an unfortunate screw up but very glad to hear the lab made an error. Its all too common that professionals make errors, which is why no action would ever be taken based on a single PSA draw.
