So....I went through 5 rounds of Chemo (Taxotere) and on the day of my first infusion I also started on a 6 month Lupron regime. That all started on 5/10/16....my PSA got to the lowest point of .40 and my last two PSA tests have been .60 and .82. All were 3 weeks apart and my testosterone level has never been above 30 for the past 12 weeks. Is this considered castrate resistant now? From what I read it is.
I start EBRT next week and then when that's done I'm scheduled for HDR Brachy.
My scans have shown that the adrenal mass has grown but the doc's still say they don't think it's malignant and I had an MRI last week that shows a bone mass on my hip that they are also saying is benign (bone island). The initial reads by the MD who wrote the scan reports said they were both likely to be metastastic tumors but 2nd doc says no.
My IDC-P is so rare I have no idea how aggressive it is nor do the doc's which is why I went for the quadruple play, Chemo, HT, EBRT and HDR.
Bone scans have been neg.
Am I considered castrate resistant?
Thanks
Todd
