Age 62. Diagnosed with prostate cancer, PSA 5.7 Gleason score 7. Great health and very active except this stuff. Opted for exterior beam radiation for 5 weeks, followed up with seed implant. Prior to starting radiation received a 3 month hormone therapy shot, and another 6 month shot prior to the seed implant. I sailed through radiation, but since seed implant it's been rough, ended up in emergency room as I couldn't urinate 4 weeks after the surgery. Ended up with catheter for 2.5 weeks, now self catheterizing for past week up to 8 times per day.
Questions I have: will this get better? Also since seed implant It's hard to control my bowels. Now, in my current state if I feel urge to urinate I also can't control poop discharge. Sometimes gas, mostly small discharge. Is this normal and will it get better?
