It feels strange talking about
a loss when it hasn't even happened yet. But, we were kind of hoping he would somehow beat this one, although we did know the odds. What is also amazing is that just a few days ago he sounded TOTALLY like his old self, excited about
going home the next day and getting on with the fight. He was free of pain and really feeling good.
There is something special about
those friends that go back a very long way. I met my best friend in the 7th grade. That would be roughly 55 years!
My best friend who lives nearby, we met as colleagues when I started teaching locally in 1972!
Jackh -- just curious, do you have handy the top 4 list of bad cancers? I assume lung, liver, gall bladder, stomach, brain (I know, that's five!).
