My plan right now is sorta like yours.... Do another biopsy and determine treatment then.

I would thinks fusion MRI would generally have higher %% of core due to it being targeted, no?

Which treatment option are you leaningtowads?

I think that's still a pretty good result--a small number of G6 cores and the fact that it was a fusion biopsy didn't mean they were going blind. Re the 50% to 80% in one core, that's really pretty much the luck of the draw. (Or the luck of the poke, in your case.) It's like sticking a needle into a blueberry muffin--sometimes you'll get hit more blueberries than other times.

I wasn't eligible for AS, so hard for me to imagine how you feel--but I'm sure it can be difficult emotionally. But there's great data that it's safe.

Great biopsy result! It was more targeted than the one last year, so it's not surprising that it picked up a little more cancer - that's the whole point of targeting. Most of us would be thrilled to be in your shoes.

I actually received a copy of the biopsy report yesterday. Under one of the 16 samples (Right Lateral Base) it actually states "involvement of 80% of the sample present in 2 of 2 cores with continuous linear dimension of 9mm in one core". Not sure what this means. Sounds like they may have taken two samples from that area since it is the most effected. The other 2 effected zones (Right Lateral mid and Right Peripheral) only mention one core each at 20%.

It seems this was a very thorough test.

Thanks Bill. I work in Palm Beach County and have for all of my adult life-even lived in Lake Worth for a couple of years.

My next visit with Dr. Patel will be in March to discuss my next PSA. If that doesn't look bad, then he will set up an MRI in September. He says he doesn't want to do a biopsy every year if it isn't indicated.

I am counting my blessings. Still keeping an eye on things, of course and hoping for slow to no growth (if possible).

It seems like I have spent the majority of the summer and fall going to drs, sitting in waiting rooms, being poked and prodded, both from behind and down the throat, Needles stuck in me, IV's ,being asked my date of birth, given mounds paper, most of which are pretty much a waste of a good tree (and I'm not much of a tree hugger), being weighed ...etc..etc...

Did I say seems like? Oh ya...that IS how I've spent the last five months.
I went from my last RT treatment into a car traveled 375 miles and was in surgery the next morning with 2 scopes down my throat having a tumor cut out of my small intestine.

I get the frustration of now having to go to the GI Dr. Just know I feel your pain. It sucks being here but like Break 60 said, Get back to living. Easier said than done right.

When I start to feel tired and fed up, I come here and vent. It helps me. I also come here to read others stories and like you said,"others have it worse off" but others not so bad if that is even possible to say that with this stupid disease. The thing is no matter... we are all in the same boat and we are "Battle Brothers" here for each other.
I hope that you continue to seek advice from here and your Drs and continue on the good path you seem to be on now and keep battling!

Welcome to the "New Norm", this is how it is now.

I have stood and laid in front of so many people with my pants down or off the past 4 years that it is the new norm. I could not be continent after surgery so I had to have an artificial urinary sphincter installed. The controller is placed in my right testicle. Earlier this month I had a follow up appointment. This cute blonde nurse said she had to check the cycling of the pump so I had to stand in front of her with pants down to the floor while she played with my testicle. It wasn't very sexy! LOL
