My second biopsy was just completed last week. Out of 16 cores- 3 were effected. 2 were 20%- 1 was 80%. Still Gleason 3x3. This doesn't seem to be much different than the first one which was 12 cores- 2 effected- 10% and 50%. Because this last one was MRI fusion it seems that you can't really compare the 2 tests except maybe try to apply some relative standard. My wife is alarmed because of the increase of one core from 50 to 80%. I understand that. I am not so quick to get treatment on this. I will meet next week with Dr. Patel to discuss my options.
Personally I am sick of dealing with this. I realize that I am lucky compared to some who are dealing with much worse- just am over the doctor thing for a while. But, AS means staying active. Now I have to see a Gastro doc for my stomach.
Just venting...
