cbd oil and prostate cancer

My husband is trying this. You need a cannabis oil with high THC and need to take 60 grams over 90 days (which is a HUGE amount of marijuana using the indica strain). Don't get scammed by cheaper stuff sold online--go to a dispensary that sells the oil in syringes. There aren't many of them that sell this particular formulary, even here in Colorado; the one we went to is in Denver. The product you want is COLORADO CANNABIS OIL SYRINGE (AKA PHOENIX TEARS, RSO, RICK SIMPSON OIL) 30 DAY SUPPLY and costs $630. You can also take with CBD oil, but to kill cancer cells you need the THC.
My husband has been using it for over a month so I will post in a couple weeks if it changes his psa. Just so you are aware--you will be completely high for three months. I feel like I'm living with a zombie.

I hate to rain on your parade, but to my (extensive) knowledge, there is only 1 (Spanish - look it up on Science Daily) study that supports cannabis killing cancer cells. Those were human prostate cancer cells that had been raised in a mouse model, harvested, separated and placed in a petri dish. When cannabidiol (CBD) was added, the cancer cells died. The same was not found when the mice were given the CBD.

THC on its own has not been shown to kill cancer cells, though there are a huge number of people who (loudly) think it does and even more who wish it would.

Well practiced cannabis consumers believe that THC provides the stone, CBD takes off the edge and CBN (cannabinol) puts you to sleep. The proper balance is established by the robustness (overall health) of the plants and harvesting them within the 2 week prime spot. The grower must know what they are doing very well.

Having cancer is generally a clear path to a green card for medical marijuana, at least here in Michigan. MM is prescribed as an alternative to opiates for pain and it works wonders for stopping nausea in its tracks. THC content has much to do with the high and not much to do with anything else.

Different indicas have different strengths (potency) and different combinations of cannabinoids like THC, CBD CBN etc (there are 66 in total), also differing strengths and combinations of terpenes which also alters the effects. Some hemp strains are just very low potency indicas that are best used for rope.

The only available sativa I am aware of is a much-disliked strain called KC Brains Cyber Crystal (lots of THC, very little CBD or CBN. Smells and tastes like pine, no skunk to it at all). Pretty much all retail (including medicinal) is indica dominant, despite claims to the contrary. Indica is 'couchlock' while sativa is 'get up and go to work'. Field workers in Jamaica and Mexico use sativas as a stimulant, like strong coffee or tea to stay working in the fields as long as there is light to work by.

Do not smoke cannabis as inhaling the smoke from burning vegetable material is hazardous to your health and the smoke pollutes the local air. I recommend a vaporizer if you are going to use cannabis, tops in the field are the Volcano for desktop use and the Pax 2 for portable use. Both of these units release the active ingredients without combustion (no toxins produced) and allow the consumer to titrate their dosage. Eating cannabis doesn't help much for nausea (obvious reasons) and is very difficult to titrate (you just might get too stoned to function).

EDIT: I would not recommend purchasing cannabis or cannabis products online at this time. If and when Canada Drugs carries it I may change my opinion on that.

Welcome! My 'cleansing' is much more mundane - soap and water every night in the shower before bed . No side effects and you smell good afterwards, wife approved.

Well said mtnwife,you're correct comfort level is what you're trying for,as we all are but please don't forget not all alternative med is going to work I don't think 1 or 2 months will heart if it's slow growing.
After giving this a try and hopefully it will work,but if not go back to a more conventional treatment

Please consider that some of us here do not possess the advanced university education and sophisticated grammeric skills that others here do. This does not invalidate their statements.

While cannabis has not been proven to cure cancer, it has been proven effective for quite a few other human illnesses and conditions, thus "medical marijuana". I will cheerfully cite my sources if requested as I have a couple of decades research on hand on this topic.

I must also note that many (details if requested) 'non - medical' topics are tolerated on this board without comment.

my 2 cents is that MJ medical/recreational downside is far worse than its benefits...the ones who really need it know who they are and use it strictly for it's medicinal use should use it... It does not, in my opinion, qualify as medicine...just to make you feel better in dealing with self inducing{pogo style}.. life issues. I challange any long time habitual user who uses it as such ...quit cold turkey and see how that feels for awhile...... I write this expecting to be the party pooper again...There is so much rationalization and BS associated with the MJ...it s just more of the same pretense of truth...that drives the paradigm we have all created..Delete/edit at will...Mj is about 10%good and 90%...well ultimately long term harmfull to any who use it ...

If, however, you are using this to relax or treat headaches or nausea, then that is a different ballgame and MJ might be very useful
