Just had my yearly visit with my M/O. PSA .28
She said I have been so stable the last 3 years that I no longer needed to have this check up again. Just yearly visit with my RO would do and if I have any large PSA increase to give her a call. She did not believe I would. Took this as really good news and will move on.

Yep, that is good news! (Well, unless you really, really like your MO.) It seems that your PSA is holding steading at 0.2-0.3 (if I remove a decimal) for the past four years so that's great. Congrats!

Great news. I am curious. Why does she not think the PSA will rise? What does she think is causing the PSA? My husband is in a similar place (but has not been stable as long) and his doctor seems to think that eventually he will need HT. Perhaps it is related to age??

I would think that such a stable PSA history at the very least indicates non aggressive Pca in his system . PSA Doubling time is a strong predictor of recurrence. Just another victim's opinion.

It's always nice when a doc says don't come back.
Here's to a life of low numbers,

Wonderful news and right at Thanksgiving. Now that's something to celebrate!
I do hope that is the end of the beast in your life.
Best of everything to you,
Rick

My MO said pretty much along the lines of what Break60 posted.
The length of time (since 2012) of the PSA being this stable indicated to her that I had a good chance of this staying as a non-aggressive PC. Just her educated guess. No promise. It could change down the road. Both her and my RO have mentioned that it is also possible that left over tissue after the Radiation could also be causing some of the PSA readings. Nobody really knows what will happen in the future. I am just going to continue doing what I have been doing since 2012. That is diet with no red meat & exercise a lot.
Hope everyone does well & happy holidays!
