It was six months to the day on Friday, since GG's surgery. On Monday we made the nerve-wracking trip to see GG's uro for his 2nd post-op PSA results. With very high-risk localised PCa and not giving him very much chance at all, we were stunned to learn his reading came in at <0.01. His surgeon said "it's far from over yet", and we know that. But for now, we'll take it. WE'LL TAKE IT!!
Best Christmas present ever. And means we can get through the holiday season without having to agonise again until March.
I've stayed off the boards for the past few weeks, as everything was stressing me to the max; especially with GG's PSA looming. But I'd just like to thank you all for your incredible wisdom, advice and support during what have been the hardest six months of our lives. You guys (and gals) are the best and I'm just so glad we found you. Extra special thanks to Tall Allen for his brilliance, pragmatic, calming and sage advice, which has steered us through this dreadful minefield.
I wish you all a fabulous festive season, and hope you'll stay safe and well, and get to share some quality time with the people you all love.
May the force be with you.
