10 years ago today! I entered the room with Ruthie and Dr. Zommick gave us the news. I was going into battle against cancer. Through the fantastic work of several oncologists I am here cancer free today. It wasn't an easy ride though. But my favorite part about it was making the lemonade. I enjoy being a support group chair, starting websites to help others, and being on committees today that are changing the standard of care for all that will walk this walk in the future. I fought cancer and won and that's good enough for me.

Congratulations Tony and thank you for all the work you do on behalf of the PCa community.

And what a terrible time of the year to be given that news. Bet Christmas 10 years ago wasn't much fun. Enjoy this years!

I did not sleep through Christmas. It was December 26 at 2:00am when I decided to look for a place to chat online. That's when I found this website and joined. The names have changed quite a bit since that night but the spirit of this website lives on. I had 15 replies when I first posted that were so uplifting that I was able to start living outside of that nightmare again. For many years I was moderating here, debated here, and met so many here. I still tell everyone new to make sure they check this forum out.

Congrats Tony! You have done so much good in the 10 years. Not only are you are hero for facing this horrible disease, but then to face it the way you did, by helping hunderds of other men and their families. We need men like you.

I don't know how many times I've heard the name "Tony Crispino" here on this forum in the 4+ years that I've been here (it's been a bunch), but every time it was always in a very, helpful positive way.

Congratulations indeed, Tony, and best wishes for continued success in all the ways you deal with this disease, both personally and in assistance to others!

My best to you Tony. Just my best! I remember as though yesterday showing you my airplane and you sitting in the pilot's seat. You looked cool. I too am ten years out. Lucky us.

My grandson is here with me as I write this. He was 4 and is now 10. Lucky me.

Congrats on your anniversary. I also remember being very pleasantly surprised by the response to my first post. If it weren't for HW, I would not have taken as thoughtful a path as I did.

Congratulations on the anniversary, that's also about 3,652 days!!! I know you have lived every one with passion for a life lived to the fullest, and to help others. No greater calling can there be!

Thanks for everything that you have done for all of us here and elsewhere by being that great patient advocate, with dedication unsurpassed, and source for strength for a lot of us. Your story is truly inspirational. I considered it a great honor to have met you, along with two other PC advocate/patient giants Joel Nowak and Todd Seals at PCRI in L. A. last summer. Got your photo on my shelf!
