Hi Annisea - that is a pretty name! Your husband is fortunate to have you investigating for him. Sometimes we guys are just not into it, and having someone help can be very important.
I added you to the G9 Crew roster, on
this thread. It's organized by date of diagnosis. You may find others on that thread with similar situations that you can contact, or give a shout out here.
With any G9, it's always important to be aggressive. Those type 5 cells are little wild mustangs, and we need to watch them closely.
Looks like about
a year off of HT before your DH resumed the joyous life on HT. (I had 3 years of it, so very familiar with its side effects). I'm on that same schedule, with minor concern about
my PSA trend, but won't know more until March (which will be one year off HT for me too). My PSA has trended up along with my testosterone, from <0.1 now up to 0.5.
We had pretty similar treatment plans. Was his PSA less than 1 when restarting Lupron? If so, what was the trigger? What was the reason for the subsequent scans that found bone mets? Those are questions I may be facing in the next few months.
I'm not sure about
answers to your question, but our forum expert Tall Allen may chime in. He is quite involved with reviewing a lot of studies, and often offers links to them here.
