My point in posting tht last comment, and I guess I didn't express it clearly enough, is that sure, we need to pay attention to what we put into our bodies. But at the same time, balance that with quality of life, and the recognition that life can be short, NS you have to enjoy each day
Spot on Prato, that is exactly my philosophy. If I had been diagnosed at 50, I might have had a more rigorous approach to my health, but at 71, I think my daily walk, daily gardening, and weekly golf covers my exercise and a balanced and sensible diet emphasising low fat, low carbs, is good enough and allows me the occasional sweet treat, meat a couple of times a week and daily glass of wine (or two).
We are all going to die, and I accept that a rigorous approach to diet and exercise might add a year or two to my life, but I want to enjoy my remaining time and denying myself those treats would lower my QoL and that is not acceptable.
