I ran 7 miles a day 7 days a week right up to surgery. 2 weeks after surgery they took out the catheter, next day I walked 6 miles, then every day after that I put in the 6, walking. After a couple of months I bumped it back up to a (slow) run, after a year of 6's I went back to 7 miles/day again, though slower than I was.
Never quit my daily Taekwondo kata, but was off weight training for a couple of years due to bone loss hand/arm break from 1st round Luprolide chemo. Back at weight training again about
8 months ago.
Take it slow and easy as you need to, you will get it back after you heal up some.
