Hello Catey and Katie. It's good to see you both here. I hope other caregivers will join us in sharing their day-to-day struggles and triumphs or just a "hello" here's what my day was like.
Katie, I am sorry you are not having a lot of successes to post, but please do share and unload. I'm about
to...forewarning
Catie..omg..I almost asked you if that was maybe what those nodules were and forgot. The HT injection leaves a horrible knot for weeks!
This was my day: I called the Dr office first thing and told the PA about
Gary being so short of breath, nausea and abdominal pain. He said to come in for a chest x-Ray, an ultrasound of his belly and blood work.
But my Darling obstinate hubby, right after he threw up all over the floor, said he would have none of it. He has blood work scheduled for Wed and dr appt on Thurs. and he is insistent he is not going in for diagnostics until his scheduled appt. And he informed me he is done with chemo and ready to try something else.
Well, HE double hockey sticks!! Deep breath and count to ten, mop the floor.
I TOTALLY understand that he is sick and tired of Dr visits and tests, but I was sure he'd get a blood transfusion or fluid drained to get some relief. So now we wait, and I worry until Thursday, when we at least get blood work results and maybe MO can convince him to get some diagnostics. He was supposed to get a root canal tomorrow, but I cancelled that appt. He sees an oral surgeon next week about
tooth extractions that won't heal. Lord that man of mine is tough!
