Ed--I appreciate your including the signature link to share your breathtakingly beautiful photos. I remember when you posted about losing thousands of dollars of equipment in the ocean, which I hope was covered by insurance.

thanks Tim! the gear was not covered but it has been replaced and even upgraded. my insurance would cover theft but not stupid. rough year last year with my Mom dying, losing my gear and another $6k as my part of the payment for a 6-tooth bridge. but in september my doctor told me to relax because i'm in my 7th year of remission and "out of the woods" -- I really have nothing to complain about. my health is great and as you can see I am pursuing my passion.

I'm so glad you posted a reply Ed. I was just looking through old threads to find the link Tim was referring too. Taking the images to bed in my mind for sweet dreams. Folks, if you haven't looked at Ed' s photos, you are missing out on what has to be some of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring art I have ever seen, especially the night shots. I want to follow him around and see these places too!!

Agree with Tim and Beth, fabulous photographs.

There are a few things that I wish I was good at, but I'm not, and one of those is photography. I am much better off leaving it to the experts like Ed.

Congrats Ed, you are a master of your trade.

Aaaah. . . Now I understand the moniker 'F8' Ed. Unfortunately there are far too few of us left who have ever manually set an f-stop, guessed at the exposure and shutter speed and then being amazed at the result. I just peeked at your photos - amazing images. Thanks for the link.

Hi ed,
I have been reading Healingwell and other advanced prostate cancer forums for several months.

Your photos are a good reminder to "stop and smell the roses" as well as take in all the beauty around us. I love Buchart Gardens and your photo reminded me of the enjoyable times we have had there.

Paxton -- thanks man! photography today is so much better because of the equipment and we control the entire process. but the rules are still the same -- "f8 and be there" smile.

F8 - You take some awesome pictures, man. Keep enjoying your remission. I've got a friend who's into eagles on Conowingo Dam in MD. Spent some of his SS on a really good DSLR and lenses. He's doing real good and loving his retirement. Wish the same for you.

Personally, I loved the solitude of the darkroom... alas, the world keeps revolving. Cheers.

Dude1969 -- thanks man. I'm very fortunate for so many reasons and I pursue my life with gusto. in the morning i'm headed to San Simeon since we finally got a break from the storms and i'm going to spend a couple of days photographing elephant seals and hopefully fiery sunsets haha.
