Eagles,
Recycling one of my long-winded comments from another thread. If it seems familiar, that's why...
Before you go looking for Canadian pharmacies and other alternate sources of PDE5i drugs (Viagra, Cialis, etc., etc.) you might consider asking your doctor about
generic sildenafil. Sildenafil is either very expensive or rather cheap depending how you go about
asking for it. Sildenafil has two primary uses. It is the drug in the brand name pills called Viagra used to treat erectile dysfunction. Viagra is very expensive and I don't think there is a generic version yet. Sildenafil is also the drug in a different pill called Revatio that is used to treat Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
Because of the way the patent laws work your pharmacy has to consider Viagra and Revatio completely different medicines, despite the fact that they contain exactly the same drug. If you go in and ask for generic Viagra they are required by law to tell you there is no such thing.
But if you ask for generic sildenafil they will sell it to you inexpensively. When you talk to your doctor be sure he writes your prescript
ion for sildenafil. (This is
technically an off-label use but there is no law against that and most urologists are happy to write the scrip that way.) The generic pills are a lower dose than Viagra so you need to take more than one at a time. Viagra comes in 50mg and 100mg pills so you need to take 2 1/2 to 5 of the 20mg generic pills to get the same dose. Even taking them 5 at a time the generic version costs a small fraction of the price of brand name Viagra.
Here's a helpful website that lets you do comparison shopping for drugs at local pharmacies. The link should bring up prices for sildenafil at some local pharmacies.
/www.goodrx.com/sildenafilThe results for my local area shows that the best local price is generally about
50 cents a pill* if I buy 90 at a time. That's the equivalents of 18 doses of 100mg Viagra or 36 doses at 50mg. Your insurance still won't pay but at a couple of bucks a dose that's not a big deal.
There are a lot of pretty sketchy websites out there but some are better than others. Search engines are no help in sorting them out but since they can get your email then other members might be willing to share their experiences, good or bad, with some of the sites. But, first, talk to your doctor about
generic sildenafil.

There is a deal at Sam's Club where you members can get them for 33 cents each if you buy them in lots of 30 pills (for $10). Sam's Club memberships cost enough to offset most of any savings. But if you already have a membership Sam's Club looks after their member's members.
