good news for thanksgiving,my psa is .21.this is my 18th cycle of 28 days on xtandi.

psa is holding at 0.21 for january,my 20th cycle of xtandi.thet also drew blood yesterday for studies in genetics.it will probably never affect me they said,but it might be helpful to others down the road.

Excellent news Mickey! Dontcha love those "nothing has changed" numbers in the less than 1.0 range? Stay there!! yeah
PS...any chance with those results that the docs will consider IMRT or "de-bulkinng"? Keep hearing more about this. Latest post regarding removal after mets was from Todd. He hasn't done it, but is considering the option.

Thankful to hear you are holding steady and "staying the course" in the new year ! Very thankful to hear your good news !

Great that you contributed data to future genetic studies --- in that avenue of thought, I have also agreed to contribute my treatment statistics and treatment data to the data bank at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where I go for ongoing consultations and scans to stay on top of my case.

Something I learned from Dr. Kwon, last week, during our latest consultation at Mayo Clinic. He stated that in cases where prostate surgery has not been performed, there is often some ongoing "residual" PSA levels that can be expected.

I want to wish you continued success on XTANDI, Mickey ! Keep posting, and keep forging ahead !

another 0.20 for feb. tests.hip met not getting any bigger,neither is the spot on my kidney.

Thank you for continuing to update this thread. I just added XTANDI to my regimen last Friday and I am a bit anxious to see the 30 day results on March 17th.

I'll be Xstatic if I can get an 18-24 month XTANDI ride. More would be great, but, I'll take what I can.

My story: Proton Therapy 2011; Salvage Cryo 10/2015; Began Firmagon (6/2016)

a little late on my posting for this month.my psa was 0.24,T was 21.in august it will be 2 yrs on the trial.doctor still calling it remission.

That's still good news.

I've been on Firmagon/Xtandi since January and am tickled with the results. However, I'm thinking ahead for the day when/if we realize it's not working quite so well.

Have you and your Doc's discussed the "what if's" should the PSA reach unacceptable levels?

I'm not trying to spoil the good news of your continued good results, but, as an ex-Bombardier/Navigator, I try to have a plan in place just in case.

psa was a tick higher for june at .34.still looking pretty good though.

psa increased to 0.51 ,doc says still too low to start thinking about the next line of defense.it still kinda worries me though,3 months ago it was 0.21 range.

another slight increase to 0.57 this month.anyone have any input as to why this is happening?it was 0.20 only a few months ago.any need to be concerned?,thanks

Mickey, I'm not knowledgeable about cases at your level, so I don't have an answer, other than an observation that while you'd rather not see any rise, the rise you are experiencing seems very slow, so that is maybe, a silver lining?

But I just wanted to bump this thread up for you in hopes you'll get a better answer

I hope you don't mind me asking. How old are you? How are you feeling through all this? Are there side effects?
From just reading your stats this treatment looks like it has been really effective.
