Brachytherapy – 6 Years On

I discovered HW 6 years ago, whilst desperately searching for anything Brachytherapy related, so I wanted to post a 6 year update for others searching for the same in the future.
Jeff just had his annual PSA test and it came back at 0.24!! As you can see from his signature it was a ‘bouncy’ old ride on the way down.
At 68 he is still blessed with excellent health and his only side effects from the treatment are the reduced ejaculate and he takes a Tamsulosin every other day to maintain an excellent p flow.
We are of course delighted with the results.

Your husband wins the award for the "bounciest" PSA we've seen.
I think a great lesson for us is... nadirs often take longer than 5 years for some of us. Most men will nadir within 2-3 years. My physician claims that slow, gradual decreases in PSAa with bounces, MAY carry improved outcomes.

Great news! I think a lot of guys after radiation worry about the bounces - it's good that you posted that for their benefit.

Great news....great results....sounds like you are living well.

Overthepond and buddy blank provided hope during my recent bounce. I had their PSA histories along with several others and referred to them whenever I would become depressed waiting for my next PSA. Glad to hear of your excellent report.

Hello Susan, just thought I'd stop in and offer my sincere congratulations to you and Jeff, this is just awesome especially given the "bounce" he had and now clearly past that! My very, very best to you both. I'm not out here anymore for my own reasons, in fact tonight is probably the first time I've even "lurked" in some months - in fact truth be told I had to look up my log in and password. But, seeing this was definitely worth the trip here - so very glad and happy for you guys.
