Peter-
After my surgery, I saw Dr. John Mulhall for ED rehab. Unrelated to the surgery or ED, Dr. Mulhall and I agreed that we needed to raise my Testosterone. (I had no symptoms of low Testosterone. I won't bore you with the reason we decided to raise my Testosterone. Ask me if you want the backstory.)
He put me on Clomiphene. If I recall correctly, the way it works is that Clomiphene suppresses the receptor in your brain that recognizes that you body has enough Testosterone (either directly or indirectly, I can't recall). Once your brain is tricked into thinking that there isn't enough Testosterone, it sends a message to your testicles to produce more - which raises the total Testosterone in your body.
The extra Testosterone production is a natural mechanism, because your testicles are producing the Testosterone as they normally do. This is radically different than using synthetic Testosterone injections - which causes your testicles to stop producing Testosterone on their own.
Short story: Clomiphene worked fine for me. Easy to use. No side effects. Achieved the goal. And my body returned to its original functioning when I stopped taking it.
Note that since Clomiphene artificially causes a man's body to increase Testosterone it is therefore a banned substance in professional sports. So, if you are planning to try out for the big leagues you'll need to stop the Clomiphene first
