This news has truly rattled me. I've followed Jim's case since finding healing well and he has helped me with information privately through email. I am sending every ounce of good wishes I can to you Jim for a quick recovery from this setback.

Wow. Wishing Jim the best in his battle. All of the folks at GFMPH are special to me. Jim's dry sense of humor in the battle has been truly inspiring. Keep the spirits up and keep fighting. Polly and I are thinking about you.

I echo the feelings and sentiments of my HW and GFMPH brothers and sisters. Will be praying for you. Louisiana won't be he same if you guys can't make it. We have had so many good times over the years.

Jim is finding out more information about what he's been going through recently and it looks like the brain issues may not be prostate related but metastatic melanoma. Jim had a melanoma issue and surgery (I think he said it was Mohs) recently. His daughter mentioned that he enjoyed seeing the well wishes here on HW and that he us in good spirits while recovering.

Jim- if you see this, youre still in our thoughts every day. We're looking forward to your updates and seeing you back here as a regular. No rush, take your time, but know that you are missed and we're holding a spot for you.

Thanks for the update Brian.

This sounds like what former president Jimmy Carter experienced. A few years ago he was treated surgically for a melanoma and then found metastasis to the brain. He was in a trial using Keytruda. They now report that it has worked and he is cancer free.

Knowing Jim and Karen they will leave no stone unturned.
