Thank you to all, especially those that supported my (rather unorthodox) non-established personal results.
I had already typed a response to this forum, but either due to my browser barfing or the fact that others have contributed since, my previous (composed) post is lost. Oops!
In any case, there are two things I'd like to make clear:
1) THANK YOU to this forum for allowing me to post my own personal response, and as others have stated, would not be permitted in other forums. I am not trying to promote anything or self-benefit in any way (a reasonable grounds for the post to be deleted). My goal is only to share my information...nothing more.
2) I'm sorry for taking my original PSA graph off-line, but because I'm taking advantage of (i.e. "leaching") off of a friend who is giving me hosting space, I removed my original post, but am re-linking it here:
VIEW IMAGE3) @ASAdvpcate, you are correct that I am on AS, and I *greatly* appreciate your input regarding other forums (of which I scrutinized each before deciding to become a member here).
For all: I am NOT and will NEVER suggest you follow anything I say or the actions I've chosen; I'm only sharing my own experience with you. If you choose to follow it and it helps you, great! But if it doesn't help you, I'm so, so sorry. My goal is only to help, but I'm not a doctor who can promise results (then again, is there any MD who can promise results?).
For anyone interested in more details of my research of my own case and the results, I will guarantee I'll provide you everything I have, with the caveat that I can't promise you'll get the same results.
But for me the increased Vit D supplement (NOT calcium) to 6,000IU, admittedly that I am a "hermit", meaning I don't go outside much, and wear excessive sun protection due to a family history of carcinoma...both my father and my next-oldest sibling (my brother), I'd rather take the inexpensive supplements than risk the numerous surgeries my late father had to endure, and my (living) brother has to deal with.
Again, thank you to *all* who contributed to this post. Your opinion and presentation has not been lost on me, and I've given everyone equal weight in regards to their contribution.
Thank you to this forum, and the users that make it what it is!PS: I *am* under Active Surveillance and in 3 days (this coming Friday), I've been "summoned" to explain to the VA why I'm taking high dosages of Vitamin D (6,000IU). I'm expecting a fight, and I will fight them on this topic. However, in fairness, my last post 'appeared' to challenge other members, BUT THAT WAS NOT MY INTENT. I was only trying to express the challenges I will propose to the VA (Veterans Administration), and not in any way to members here.
If my previous post (or any post) offended you, I sincerely apologize.
