first time self inject tri mix

Today with the doctors watchful eye I self injected tri mix for the first time. Got no erection and got a small amount of blood in the foreskin area. Could not see where the blood came from as it was dried when I noticed it. It was late and the doctors office as closed. No pain or anything abnormal, but no erection at all. Last week the doctor injected me and had a great erection. I'm thinking I missed the spot. Any ideas. I'll call him tomorrow.

I am also thinking you missed the spot. That is really easy to do, and if you miss you can expect no results.

Welcome to the world of erections by a needle. I have been using trimix for over a year and still have the same issue. One time it works and the next time it does not. I have talked to the doc and he states that it be the location of the shot. Keep trying and you might improve with the location of the shot.

Have your wife give you the shot. It help with me and finding the location.

Here's my experience with 9 years of trimix: 1) when you inject they say inject at the 10 or 2 o'clock position looking the penis in cross section. I have had much fewer misses when injecting at the 11 or 1 o'clock positions. 2) before injecting pull junior straight out to get the skin out of the way and make sure he is pointing straight ahead and not rotated one way or the other for a straight shot. Then u can inject up and down either side. 3) I am injecting only on the right side now because I have had multiple misses on the left side, I find it extremely awkward using my left hand to inject. They tell u to alternate sides to avoid curvature (peyrionnes disease) but over 8 years I now curve a little to the left so injecting on right is safer now since junior will curve in the direction of scarring. Have fun!

Do you have a pump? It is a little bit of additional trouble, but when I was doing injections I found that pumping up just a little bit, to a partial or slight erection(don't need much), then sliding a ring on to hold the erection after removing the pump, made it one heck of an easier target. It is like the difference in trying to stick a needle into a deflated balloon without going to far and sticking the other side, vs trying to stick a blown up balloon. The tube you are trying to stick is much larger after you pump up a bit. The only down side I know of, other than having to fool with the pump, was a tendency for the pressurized blood to be forced back out the needle hole, but I learned to just be quick and aggressive with applying pressure with the alcohol swab to the puncture site.

There might be one additional advantage. If there is a tendency for the medicine to leave the penis as the blood circulates, the ring will hold the blood and medicine in the tube a bit longer, until you remove the ring. This might get better results with less medicine. Maybe.

I going back to the DR's office Tuesday and going to try self inject for the second time. I agree with your balloon theory. I think my biggest problem was how nervous I was. I got I feeling that the second time will be better. I'll post a report Wednesday. Hopefully it will be successful.

Just a second note on this. I was told VERY explicitly never to use the pump and the injections at all. Either before or after, that this could lead to cases or peyrones or other blood staying in sections of the various muscle groups of the penis shaft.

I'd check this out with the urologist prior to trying anything in conjunction with the injections.

If I'm going to do an injection, I make sure I'm 36-48 hours off my 5mg daily cialis (I know, it's planning but it's recovery)

After a little trial and error you will get there. My doc recommended .2 trimix and I was very nervous about being hard too long so went with .1 instead. After about 2 hours it finally went down. Tried .08 with fairly similar results, .07 or .06 work better for me, but not quite as hard with .06.

BTW - my pharmacist gave me a trick to keep the trimix fresh as long as possible. He said when I find the dosage I like best to pre-fill syringes and put them in the freezer. He said that way I am not thawing and refreezing the whole bottle each time and that it will last a good 6 months that way. He also said he would officially deny the 6 months if asked. ;)
The syringe thaws in seconds by just holding it in your fingers.
So far this has worked great for me.

Very good point on the trimix expansion, a tiny bit can make a difference.
