I got some good news today so I wanted to share it. After completing Provenge and after 1 month on Xtandi my PSA is at .20, down from 3.9. Liver tests were good so I am tolerating the Xtandi well. Last month's scans were clear and I feel great.

I also had a wonderful weekend at the GFMPH gathering in Baton Rouge. Great guys and great time was had by all.

Here's hoping for a long run of good health. Keep fighting everyone.

That's exactly the news I've been hoping for --- a tremendous, encouraging, and hope-filled response to XTANDI --- and you're just getting started !

Such a marked improvement already --- a true sign that XTANDI is helping you immensely ---

I'm thankful for the emergence of these newer breakthrough medications that are helping many of us right now --- XTANDI, ZYTIGA, XOFIGO, and so forth.

That is great news! And we all know great news is Good For Men's Prostate Health!

We're glad you enjoyed the GFMPH gathering in Baton Rouge and found it fun and helpful! Mark your calendar for the next one in Rochester during the last week in September.

That's good news John. Hope it keeps dropping with the Xtandi.
How are you tolerating it? Any side effects? I remember increased bone pain while I was taking Xtandi so it was discontinued after 8 months. But, I saw good results with it otherwise - undetectable during the 8 months I was taking it and rode that trend for a little more than 2 years.
Keep working to get that PSA to zero/undetectable. You can do it.

Congrats on those specific numbers. We hope that you continue to do well and feel well. Like others have posted, we did enjoy meeting and getting to know a little about you at last weekends GFMPH Gathering. Maybe we'll meet again at another of these events.

The only side effects thus far for me seem to be an slight increase in fatigue and a more noticeable feeling of loss of testosterone. Otherwise, I am doing well. No change in day to day activities, exercise, work, etc..

I don't get on hear much anymore. Plenty of other able minded knowledgeable folks to guide you though. Sorry to
be late to the party. I too would like to offer my congrats. After my Provenge infusions, I took casodex for a month to drop my PSA. I couldn't just sit and watch my psa rise. I didn't know if it would work but I figured it was worth a shot and fortunately it did drop my PSA. After that it was another 15 to 16 months before I had to start a different treatment. I chose zytiga as at the time xtandi was not approved yet. I hope xtandi gives you a good long ride. If you ever want to chat, send me an email. It's weird but after 11 years from my stage 4 diagnosis, prostate cancer has become mundane. It is simply a new normal. I encourage you to embrace the suck. It is a wonderful way to find your true caliber as a human being. Hang in there bro. Seems as though you are doing fine. Todd
