Pain 5 weeks after surgery

Hello. I had robotic surgery on April 3rd. They took out the nerves on one side and spared one side. I had the catheter out on April 10th and felt pretty good. Then this week the pain has been back and very bad. I would put it at an 8 most days, I don't even feel like eating. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what it might be before I call the doctor? My next appointment isn't until July so I'm starting to think there's no way I'm going to make it that long without doing something. It's in the groin area, like where I would imagine the prostate was before it was removed. Thanks in advance for the advice.

That's an urgent call to the doctor's office. You shouldn't be having that kind of pain now. Pain means bad things.

Don't tough it out, complain loudly to any doctor/nurse/medical assistant you can get on the phone.

When I called in and explained the pain, the nurse stated that it didn't sound like a hernia and even if it was it was "not their area" and I would have to just go see my general practitioner who is out of town. They ordered a urine culture (because everything is apparently a UTI) which I went in and got, but never got a call back with results. They had called in an antibiotic though before I ever went to give the sample. My home clinic emails lab results so I kind of read them myself and the red and white blood cell counts were up but only a trace of bacteria. I finished the antibiotic today so we will see...pain is still there but I'm getting through the day. Thank you for your responses and concern, I appreciate it, especially when the docs don't really seem to care after the surgery is complete.
