Bladder Neck Incision

Recently I had problems passing urine, pain and blood in my urine. I had a cystoscopy which revealed a large bladder stone.
My doctor intends to carry out an operation to remove the stone. At the same time he intends to make a bladder neck incision to ensure that my bladder empties completely.
I had a Da Vinci prostatectomy nine years ago and have been dry since apart from some small leaks.

I'm worried that this procedure could lead weakening of bladder neck muscles and incontinence. Has anybody had this procedure after having their prostate removed.

I had a problem with urinary retention after surgery, due to the buildup of scar tissue at the bladder neck. The urologist went in with a plan to perform either an incision or a dilation. Dilation is where they insert progressively larger tools into the bladder neck to stretch it out, I believe. Upon observing my bladder neck closely he decided on the dilation approach. I was also concerned about the impact of an incision on bladder control and continence, so I as glad he opted for the dilation. You might ask your doctor if dilaiton would be appropriate in your case.

My bladder stone is 14mm x 10 mm, I understand that it will be broken into pieces large enough to pass through my urethra. I did recently passed a kidney stone approx 4mm.
I will ask regarding the scar tissue.
