Just got a PSA reading of .04, down from .16! I was almost certain that .16 would be the lowest it would get after LDR Brachy Therapy almost three years ago. I fell very blessed with anything "down". I want to give hope to those with similar stats but will always be well aware of the guys who suffer with various degrees of adversity.

With a nadir like that, your chance at cure is very high indeed. Congratulations!!

That is a really low reading. Please do not hurt yourself when jumping up and down with excitement over this stink'n low number!! Congratulations are in order. Your RO really did know where to stick it!! Good job.

Hi Trout, those are great numbers indeed! Congrats, Sounds like CURE to me.

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you are getting ultra sensitive results? Or maybe it's just the lab your uro uses as a normal course of business. I've just been getting PSA tests annually with my PCP and the lab test is not ultra sensitive; I'm settle in at .1 which is still fine with me after 9 years.

Anyway, I'm really happy for you!

Tud: Never asked for or wanted ultra sensitive results. Same lab used for previous tests came through with this really low reading. I told Doc. that I didn't think it was possible to get that low of a reading because I still have a prostate. I really thought that I had hit nadir at .16 and than came this low surprise. Being an MD he had no real answers for this and gave me the OK on the DRE. I will say I am somewhat concerned that the next PSA might not be as low. Tud, 9years out with .1 is awesome!

I am so thrilled for you Brown Trout. That is my favorite fish, btw. There is a difference, as I'm sure you know. Best wishes for many more years of pulling zeros and German Browns from good fishin holes.
