Anyone know the law around disclosure of PC to prospective employers? I guess a physical exam may alert a doctor, but are you obligated to disclose medical history?

In the US you don't have any obligation to disclose medical conditions to prospective employers, and in general the employer is prohibited from asking about them during the hiring process. (The employer can ask about your ability to perform the requirements of the job.)

If you don't need any accommodation to perform the job I wouldn't disclose anything. If you do need some sort of accommodation, I'd consider putting off discussion of accommodations until you have a firm offer in hand.

There are circumstance I cna imagine in which you would want voluntarily to alert an employer to your PCa, especially if you are going to have some kind of debilitating treatment soon after starting work. In your case the pathology is so favorable the likelihood of your PCa ever impacting you work is small, I would think. So just say NOTHING.

There are very few jobs where you have to disclose medical history. Unless you're going to be an airline pilot or similar type of job, you don't have to disclose medical history. If you need a special accommodation because of a medical condition, you should discuss that when they offer you the job - they are required to provide reasonable accommodation.

Don't tell them, they don't need to know and the law clearly shows they can't ask.

The law around disclosure of PC has been accurately stated here already. No, and I would not recommend freely offering that information, either. And there's especially no need to do so for your 3+3 case. Most men these days don't even get treated for low volume, low-risk cases of PC.

In a physical exam, even before the doctor examines you, you will be asked to document your complete medical history (as well as complete list of medications, prescription and over the counter) that you take. This is all necessary and important information to provide you with proper care. So if you are now seeing a doctor for an exam for the first time, he/she will know you've had a prostatectomy (and the resulting consequential hernia repair procedure) because you've told him/her on the medical history form. He'll ask you why you had a prostactomy.
