I have a 1 year psa jump from 2.9 to 4.9 and am waiting for my biopsy results so please excuse the reply if it doesn't apply
this whole ordeal with me started with a suspected hernia a few years ago, I was examined and told nothing was significant
a month ago I went to the doctor with what I thought were prostatitis symptoms and he told me it was "just a hernia" and sent me to a surgeon, the surgeon confirmed hernia but ruled out my other symptoms as being related, but I knew there was something wrong
anyway, while discussing open or laproscopic surgery for the hernia he told me that I would look like a mess for a couple of weeks down there and it was perfectly normal, when I explained my prostatitis concern he explained that I should look into that first to avoid any complications with testing and revisit with him in august
I'm a basket case right now but jut trying to pass on whatever limited knowledge I have in hopes of helping as so many on here are trying to calm me down and help
