Frequency of micturition following protastectomy.

I posted on here earlier this year shortly after having had a protastectomy to discuss urinary incontinence and got some really helpful advice. The surgery was Feb 2017
I have gotten back more control over time and can clench the pelvic floor muscles better now to stop leakage.
HOWEVER, over the past week or so (before starting radiotherapy, which actually started today) my need to pee has really come back again with a vengeance.
I'd gotten back to probably having to go three times per night, but it's recently raised back up to 4/5 times.
I was of the impression that as thus sorted itself out, it would only get gradually better...not that it would take a downturn again.
Is this normal cos frankly I'm needing to go nearly all the time again.

This happened to me at about the same time post surgery. I had finally got control of the leaking only to have to go all the time. It did eventually get better and now I'd say I'm almost normal post radiation. As TA pointed out the radiation will likely make it worse for a while. I never needed meds other than immodium for bowel issues (which I'm still taking). The urinary in the short term (week 3? of SRT) certainly got worse for me.
