Low dose Cialis question

I have just started taking low dose Cialis and am a bit nervous. When I am asleep, I am getting erections, but since I only wake up periodically, it is hard to tell how long they last. Should I be concerned that they last more than 4 hours? I do not want to have permanent damage done.

What dosage? If it's 5 mg I think 4 hour erections are unusual. Maybe you don't need it

I take the 5mg dose, and do not necessarily think that they are lasting 4 hours; it is that I don't know and got a little worried. I take the dose in the morning and have no unwanted erections during the day, but at night I wake up a couple of times with them and am just a bit concerned. Most likely for no good reason.

Right, no good reason, in that case. Waking with elections is pretty normal. Be happy 😜

If you're waking with nightime erections, then the next thing to do is to see what happens when you're with your significant other. Unless you've already done that.

I have not done that Halbert. I figured that was the next logical step though. I am glad that this appears to be working, and that I am not having the dreaded priapism.

Priapism is rarely an SE of oral ED meds, and especially not for a low dose like that. If you've taken an "on-demand" dose of 20 mg and didn't get priapism, you certainly won't on 5 mg.

I take that same dosage about 2 times per week now. I wake up with night time erections most every night, I would just celebrate if I were you. I was on Trimix for about 3 months and those erections lasted up to 4 hours. Glad you are getting the erections back.

Me too. I've been taking 5mg for two months and had surgery three weeks ago. No erections at night yet, but things seem to be stirring down there.

I am three months post surgery taking 5 mg tadalafil daily. I would kill to have your "problem". Cause for celebration, not anxiety.

Stumpy .....I`m 7 months post rads and get the night time erections. I tried the 5mg. cialis and it didn`t do much for me ....seemed to give me a headache and sneezing ??....stopped and went back to the flomax. Doc. said to stop the flomax because it worked against the cialis...and the cialis actually helped with erections and stronger stream......was`nt my experience .....flomax got things running again. Saving the other cialis for the " right" time ........Good luck

I had a RALP almost four years ago. For those of you taking 5mg of Cialis after recent surgery and not getting results, give it a little time. I have been able to titrate the 5mg dose to 2 or 3 times a week. I use the ability to get unprovoked morning erections as a guide. Works for me.

The road back to having working erections after RALP can be a long one but for those of you in that situation, give it time.i am in my 60's and it took me nearly three years.

Night time erections are a good thing. According to my physician, they are essential to maintaining a healthy penis until such time as fully normal erection function returns.
