Didn't take long for me to offend the higher knowledge one. I guess this forum and I don't quite fit.

I just thought I'd start a different post as not to highjack the previous one about %fPSA.

There are so many different personalities here and for the most part many are very helpful and understanding. Some have a wealth of knowledge and others not so much. Some are very uplifting and caring others are more just about the facts.
I see the back and forth about the different treatment therapies and can understand how it can put some off. Just because a person has a wealth of knowledge, does preclude that person to jump on others that may call him out on his demeanor at times.

I know what I read and I feel that I am intelligent enough to see or read bad bed side manner when I read or see it.

Knowledge is great and very helpful. Knowing how to communicate that knowledge is another. Much more than that is having the ability to take suggestions without being offended and striking back. People like that tend to push others out and they don't even know it.

Didn't intend to offend but seems like I can do that.... so ..... I'll say see ya for now. I don't need the stress.

No one is a mind reader, not even those who are intelligent. It doesn't help you to imagine hidden agendas. You do have control about how you perceive things. If you look for hidden subtext behind every comment on the internet, it only hurts you. I've learned that there is great value in dealing with things as they are rather than the fruits of your imagination.

I looked at the %free thread very carefully.

Mark, the comments you deem as inciteful I found very insightful, as I was unaware of the specificity/sensitivity of the various tests. These were facts.

Perhaps you are too sensitive.
Besides, we are all just folks behind a computer screen.

Maybe the moderators can peruse that thread. Did I miss something?

Mark, you contribute a lot and I for one have been following your journey.

I hope you reconsider

You have just proved my point. Blame your insensitive comments on my imagination. Kind of like when your post "One would have to be an idiot to choose IMRT as a treatment" just days after I chose that exact treatment.
Maybe your intention isn't to be insensitive, but you come across like that sometimes. Own it!

I've looked over both threads and the posts are all within the rules. As the site owner has made very clear, this is a big tent with plenty of room for support, education and advice. And for different personalities. TA's comments were straightforward, nothing more, nothing less. The OP responded that he found both TA's and Mark's comments, "helpful and insightful".

I'll just point out that if a member has issues with another member then please feel free to email one of the moderators and we will be happy to evaluate it.

And, TommyC, BTW...there is a separate Moderator's Forum in which we have the opportunity to chat with Peter and other mods about many things, including the forum's intent. Peter has given no indication that he feels the forum has "strayed", but thank you for your thoughts.

I thought you announced you'd left -yet here you still are casting ad hominems at me. There was nothing "insensitive" in anything I wrote to him or to you, and I have no idea what is going on in your imagination - nor do I want to know. There's an easy way to not see my posts if you find they offend your delicate sensibility - use the "ignore" button on the upper right.

Mel... When someone with a great deal of knowledge answers a question with a question"what diffrence does it make now?" As a new guy why answer that way when obviously OP was asking the question because he truly didn't know.

Also....getting tired of being told I'm" too sensitive" when I voice my opinion.

By the way .... I do appreciate much from what I get from most on here.

Just let it go Mark ...let it go.....
