Vero SBRT at Upstate in Syracuse, NY?

I like the Vero vs. CyberKnife modality. Has anyone utilized Upstate Cancer Center for Vero delivered SBRT? Or visited but subsequently decided against using the facility for some reason? I see a couple folks from upstate NY have chosen to go farther over to Cleveland, why? Seems they've had a couple years to train and perfect technique now so I'm curious if anyone has heard anything recently?

A friend of mine visited Upstate last year and they told him they have had problems with the Vero machine and don't use it for much of anything let alone prostate cancer. They offered him conventional IMRT. They probably haven't learned much in a year. They also told him SBRT was "experimental".

Yikes! Thanks for the heads up, that doesn't sound good at all. Hear anything about the CyberKnife at Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY?

Just an update.. I did speak at length with the onc dept and was told the Vero machine is in full swing, albeit not used for prostate Tx. PCa treatments is typically limited to IMRT delivered with RapidArc, or LDR-BT monotherapy for low risk. They do not perform HDR-BT.
