This is not true, and I don't think that you meant to state that a Part D plan is mandatory. Part D is only needed
IF you need some expensive drugs. Many people do not. Why pay $200 per year
minimum if you use less than $100/yr in prescript
ions? Perhaps you probably should have said that you
may wish to buy a separate part D plan. Part D is
never mandatory.
FWIW any medications administered by your physician or in a hospital are covered by the Parts A and B.
