I had my diverticulitis removed and 6 months later was told PC is back. Thanks to HW I jumped on SRT (My Uro said no hurry).
After diver surgery I had bad inner pains no one could explain. Had to go to the emergency room a week before SRT. Then, after a week of RT the pain went away - gone. Not sure why....... maybe RT fused some tissue back together? .... or maybe I had new things to worry about
after my Gastro the week before RT said I had 100% chance that radiation was going to really mess me up.... 100%!! (I could go on about
Doctors).
No problems from RT treatment or lasting gas problems from either procedure.
For me, if my diver acted up just a little I had to immediately stop eating and go on antibiotics to stop its progression. Even then I could be on the floor feeling like someone was turning a dull knife in my gut. Diverticulosis is usually located in the intestine near the belt line from the belly button over to the left hip, but can be anywhere in large intestine. As we get older we all get weak pouches called diverticulosis. Diverticulitis is when these pouches get infected. Most people will never get an infection or only get one fluke attack. Like all infections they rarely go away on their own and need heavy antibiotic treatment..... or else!
