Provenge and Zytiga questions

My husband has been approved for Provenge. He is a guitar player in a local cover band. For those of you that have gone through the treatment process, how hard is the treatment on your arms? The band usually only gigs one or twice per month, but there's band practice and nightly/weekend at home practice. He loves playing guitar and I believe it helps with stress. And at gigs, we own the PA so there's the lifting (thank goodness we now have powered speakers/monitors instead of the heavy monsters of old!) and setting up associated with running PA.

As for the Zytiga, he's in a band. We drink. For those of you taking Zytiga, did you change your alcohol intake?

Hi guys-

for me, no physical problems with the Provenge treatments regarding playing of music or the moving of large objects (which is much more difficult for me now anyway after 1.5 years on ADT and then Xtandi); just hydrate real well for the 3-4 days before they do the leukapheresis so your veins are nice and big-

regarding alcohol- at this stage in my treatments, I do believe I have less tolerance- I rarely have a 2nd beer anymore.

note: I do believe I had some low level of "cytokine release syndrome" on infusion of the treated cells- I did get severe shivers during 2nd and 3rd infusions (treated with Demerol) and seemed to have shortness of breath on exertion for the month or so of treatments (inflammation in action, affecting lungs a bit IMHO); but I am much better now on that score; was not a walk in the park, but I was able to do most of what I wanted.

Thank you Rockyfords! We've both noticed his tolerance has decreased. He can have several Ultra's and be fine, but the craft beers hit him a lot harder now.
