Season's Greetings To All ~
We mark another holiday season and approaching New Year ...
We pause to honor our brothers here, whom we've lost along the way ...
I spent Christmas back in my old hometown ... we had a surprise snowfall, just in time for Christmas Eve ... a "White Christmas" in my hometown ...
I went for a late night walk around town, in the snow ... the old familiar streets and houses and stores and places I had known while growing up ... the church, the schoolhouse, the city park ... all covered in snow for Christmas time.
This year marked my fifth Christmas since my diagnosis ... a milestone that perhaps did not seem possible when I was first diagnosed. It was a meaningful walk on a winter's night ...
For everyone out there reading ... keep facing forward ... stay dedicated to your health goals ... stay in close contact with your medical team ... stay updated on new treatment options and medical advancements ... keep reaching out to others in the battle who stand alongside you ... stay connected to family, friends, and faith, in whatever form that takes for you ... and most of all, keep living your life to the fullest measure.
A happy holiday season to all ~
