31 y/o with Prostate Nodule

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time out to read this post.

I am currently 31 and have gone to my local Doctor over the last couple of months with issues in regards to pain in my groin, penis, anus. It hurts to urinate and a burning sensation in my perineum. I was told that it was due to me being sick with the flu.

I got numerous tests done which included full blood count and PSA (which came back at 0.82). And all came back fine

He did a DRE and said he could feel a palpable nodule on the right side of my prostate. I have currently seen a URO and just complete a 3T MRI with contrast to see what it could be. With no biopsy as of yet.

Of course I am freaking out thinking the worst. What do you think it could be if not cancer?

Hello and take a breath, there are many things that could be causing the symptoms. I am assuming the MRI result are not in yet. Waiting is the hardest part of our medical journey. Once you get more info guys here have lots of experiences and will provide you information. Stay in today. Denis

What Denis said. Waiting for test results is an event we all struggle with. Stay busy, watch fun movies, do stuff you enjoy to keep your mind busy. Keep us posted on the MRI results.

Welcome to HW! Have you and your doctor discussed the possibility of you having prostate stones? You are to young to have PC.

Benign cysts and calcifications are very common. I think there have been only 1 or 2 documented cases of PC in men under 35, ever.

Thank you all for the reply.
I have completed the 3T MRI a couple of days ago and just waiting for the results. Talking with my GP previously and he wasn't overly concerned about the lump/nodule on my prostate (Probably due to my age etc). He never subjected prostate stones or calcification or prostatitis etc. On initial consultation to the urologist he checked my prostate and it was a normal size and said I was getting recurring prostatitis and gave me medication ( as the aches and pains would come and go every few weeks). Will get my results back on a day or two. But always thinking the worst. And obviously everything you read on google is bad haha

Hi.. just read your post and I am in a very similar situation. Did they tell you what the Nodule was or could be?
