losing hope continuous PSA increase

Dear all,
I hope u all doing good and had great new year.I am so upset as my fathers PSA is increasing and not getting controlled. My oncologist said thre are less chances he will respond to enzalutamide. Plannng for lutetium therapy. i am worried for health of my father
Diagnosed prostate cancer 2014
Bone scan clear
Initial PSA 8
Radical prostactomy august 2014
PSA after 3 months 5.0
Bone scan showed one met in rib and one at lower back.
Started hormone therapy zolodox and casodex january 2015
PSA jan 2016 0.4ng/ml
stopped casodex
Bone scan showed lesion at sacral ala and lower rib
PSA april 2016 4.5
started taxotere
PSA after 3rd cycle 1.5
PSA after 6th cycle 0.6
PSA after 21 days of 8th cycle 0.4
After one month PSA 2.8
Started Abritrone acetate
PSA after 3 months 5.9
Zolodox changed to Firmagon
PSA after 3 months 15
started Antiandrogen Cyprotene acetate
PSA after 15days 18
PSA after one month (07/09/2017) 27
Started fosfestrol
PSA 10
24-12-2017
PSA 18
3-01-2017
PSA 27, serum testosterone 0.002
PSMA scan done
lot of bone mets, parietal bone, occupital bone, femur bone. ribs, sternum, humerus, sacral ala, bonemarrow also involved at multiple sites
planning for Lutetium PSMA LIGAND therapy. i am very worried

I wish I had some knowledge about such advanced PCa so that I could offer more than my sympathy and strong wishes for some good news for your father and yourself. He's lucky to have you.

The only clinical trial going in India is lutetium therapy which we are planning

Sending you love, hugs and prayers. My father's psa has been on the increase too... 70+ now. He starts Zytiga tomorrow. He also has bone mets. Please don't lose hope, I was feeling that way very recently and if I let myself I could go that way again. Look at this way, they are still treating him, let's hope and pray he responds well. I have read many stories here of people in really frightening situations and are doing pretty well. So.. try and think positively, believe me... I know how hard that is. Just take each day as it comes X

jannett, I am sorry to hear that. I really don't know what I can add to the conversation But like Kathy said, they are still treating him. Who knows what it would be if they hadn't done anything at all. We aren't even approved for Lutetium-177 over here in the US. I hadn't heard of it but I hope they can find something to help your father, even if they have to add 2 or 3 at the same time. I will be praying for you and your family. You're not alone, we are all tied to PCa in one way or another. My dad's PSA is starting to rise rapidly as well.
