Thanks PDA. I do worry less, and for the most part take it 1 day at a time until the week before the doctor's appointment. Doc wants me to go on annual checkups instead of semiannual, but I let them know I feel more comfortable with semiannual for the time being - but I think if he is feeling that way then he must have a high level of confidence.
Regardless, I come here often and read other's stories and I count my blessings. Yes, my tumor was high grade but it was all contained, and I have world-class care here in Houston. Doc said in post-op follow up if we'd waited 6 months it would have become "challenging" (a word you don't want to hear your doctor say unless he's on your YMCA basketball team or something). I thank my dad for that - God rest his soul - since his death from PC is why I was monitoring it and found it when we did. Like yours, my tumor's Gleason was upgraded post-op from the bx Gleason of 7(4+3). Since my dad's cancer was so aggressive even a G7 scared me enough to get it out, and I'm glad I did.
Sorry to rant - just wanted to talk, I guess. Have a stupendous Saturday!
