Hey all - just a quick update. Today's PSA came in at... drumroll.... 0.6 !!
You can see the trend over the last couple of years in my signature. After a worrisome rising trend post-ADT, as predicted almost a year ago (with my Gompertz curve musings) it has leveled off. In fact, it's actually very slowly now declining. Maybe it will end up < 0.5 by the time it stops, a desired limit I've read in some studies.
So, approaching 5 years after diagnosis, and 2 years after the end of treatment, I'm in the "butter zone" we had hoped for, a durable remission. Stable PSA, recovered testosterone, and minimal side effects. I still get a couple of hot flashes during the day and the night, probably a permanent side-effect of 3 years of ADT. Not a big deal.
I feel like myself, feel good, encouraged, and definitely blessed.
This is being shared as an encouragement. This type of diagnosis has a lot of worrisome stuff out on the great interwebz. As someone here once asked "Is there anyone here diagnosed with Gleason 9 who isn't, 5 years later, struggling for survival?". Yes, there are cases, and treatments, that give hope for a good outcome now even with that kind of diagnosis. Not always, to be sure, but it is possible.
All the best to everyone here fighting this beast.

Great news Jerry! So glad you're doing so well. May you have many more years of undetectable PSA.
