January Tests

One of our members used to start a thread each month where members would post the results of their PSA tests, scans, etc. I liked those threads because it allowed members to keep up with how other folks in the group are doing. Please post your results here for January if you care to do so. If interest for a monthly thread continues I would invite someone to start a new one in February if they have results to post at that time.

My January PSA went up to 12.4, which is about what I expected. My MO ordered another round of CT and bone scans. If the mets are visible I’ll be starting Lupron/Zytiga. If nothing shows on the scans I will likely get to avoid ADT for another six months.

For five years after 2012 RALP, uPSA did not even register on LabCorp uPSA machine.

Got a detectable in Feb. 2017. Monitored closely for the year. Bounced around-- low of .017 and high of .027.

Had not tested for couple months so tested last week. Now moving myself to every three months then maybe six month tests.

It's just not moving. No doc or anyone else has been able to explain it, but I'm very grateful it is not moving. May be related to TRT injections somewhat, but no one knows the mechanism.

Congrats Big Tasty, nice score. I too had a PSA taken in January, my first since completing adjuvant radiation. Now I have a new nickname... agent double oh zero!

Next blood draw will be April. My Uro said not to be concerned if it goes up to 'one'. He said one, but I'm hoping he meant .1 or maybe .01 ... he's a surgeon and seems to prefer his patients asleep. When I mentioned that there's only one direction it can go fro zero he just repeated don't worry. So I'm hoping I won't.
