Discussion with SBRT MD

3 putt - I wouldn't be too apprehensive about UHC and SBRT. My SBRT RO submitted my claim to UHC for pre-approval and received the approval within days. I was also favorable intermediate risk - some cores G3+3, one core G3+4, PSA under 10. No back and forth with UHC, just a quick approval. If the docs do a lot of prostate SBRT they probably know how to present the claim for rapid approval.

Glad to hear that UHC approved SBRT. UHC denied the 3TMRI request from my URO a few months ago, so I am a little apprehensive.

The RO agreed to proceed with cyberknife today, so I guess I will find out very soon.

3-putt. hello,I had the 3t mp mri and they saw a tumor. Then under sedation had the biopsy,12 core and found a little more.The biopsy was a 4+3,3+4,3+4. I sent the slides to John Hopkins,Dr. Epstein and they downgraded me to a 3+3,3+3,3+4. After joining this group and doing my due dilligence,interviewing all of the modalities,surgery,imrt,ldb,hdb and finally SBRT. I had called Dr. Debra Freeman in Tampa as I was going to travel and have her do the SBRT. We had a phone consul, Im in Chicagoland,so she referred me to Dr. Arica Hirsch out this way. Dr. Freeman might be a good choice for you if you choose SBRt and want to travel. Paxton and I both had Dr. Hirsch. Great doctor. Good Luck,SemperFi,John
