Cyberknife anyone had?

Any of you guys had Cyberknife for your prostate cancer? IF so please comment:

1. How long ago did u have it?
2. Did it work? How is your PSA?
3. Side effect:
A. How are things in the erections department?
B. How is urination? Any Incontinence?
C: Any issues with Stool? Incontinence?
4. Over all how would u rate your experience? Would you do it again, based on where your at now?

also known as SBRT.
Lots of guys here have had that.

almost all report good things: low psa, nothing bad and most things looking up.

CyberKnife is just one method to apply SBRT; there are other machines/technologies. And, as has been pointed out, it's a well-established therapy with very good outcomes for low and intermediate risk prostate cancer patients.
I was high-risk and had IMRT + ADT 'on top' (in a clinical study; see my signature).

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. keep em coming, I am leaning towards doing this. I am low grade, and thinking of nipping this thing in the bud.

2. Did it work? How is your PSA?
IMO, it worked great PSA 1.1 and falling.
3. Side effect:
about five days of painful bowel movements after treatment stopped.
After six months a had some pain urinating for a week (felt like an UTI), was resolved with Motrin and AZO for two days.
A. How are things in the erections department?
Great.
B. How is urination? Any Incontinence?
Good, No incontinence. Still using 0.4mg Flomax daily.
C: Any issues with Stool? Incontinence?
Nope.
4. Over all how would u rate your experience? Would you do it again, based on where your at now?
Would definitely do it again. I can't for the live of me understand why someone would choose surgery over SBRT, given the option.

My SBRT treatment completed 6 weeks ago.

2. Did it work? How is your PSA?
I will have my first post SBRT treatment PSA in about 6 weeks so have to wait and see.

3. Side effect:
A. How are things in the erections department? No problems. (Ejaculate does change)
B. How is urination? Any Incontinence? No incontinence. Some burning pain during the treatment period
that subsided about 5 days after completing the treatment.
C: Any issues with Stool? Incontinence? No issues concerning bowel movements.

4. Over all how would u rate your experience? Would you do it again, based on where your at now?
Overall excellent. To rate whether I would do it again I have to wait till see how my PSA responds
but assuming it goes down and stays down yes this is an excellent treatment so far.

If you choose SBRT treatment make sure you get an RO that has done it for a good number of years
routinely that has an experience base.

Completed late November, 2016

It is working - still a work in process. PSA went from 5.69 to 2.15, then back to 3.05. Bouncing.

A bit worse than before.

Some discomfort for a while, back to baseline not.
C: Any issues with Stool? Incontinence?
A lot if intestinal issues, but we attribute mine to pre-existing irritable bowel situation.
4. Over all how would u rate your experience? Would you do it again, based on where your at now?
I would choose SBRT/CyberKnife again in a heartbeat.

We knew going in that I was at risk for more than the usual intestinal side effects. Mine were truly unpleasant for 6 to 8 months, but now have returned to baseline. At my age and with my already complicated surgical history, prostate surgery was not for me. I did my research, made my choice, and I am totally at peace with it.
