I was in a clinical trial at Emory where i had 60 days of casadex followed by 42 radiation treatments.and 2 shots of lupro...That was in2009.so I'm not sure hormones would have any affect on the cancer now is my question.
Deer Hunter,
I agree with others that you need to see a medical oncologist not a urologist at this point, but that doesn't necessarily mean that an MO will put you on ADT right away, especially if you doubling time remains long.
The fact that you were on casodex and lupron during you SRT would have no effect on further ADT treatment down the road. That was intended to boost the efficiency of the radiation. I was also on casodex during SRT - for 90 days and stopped a couple of weeks after the radiation treatments ended. This wouldn't make you or me insensitive to further ADT at a later date. I am right now waiting to see if I'm accepted for a clinical trial. But if I don't get into that trial I'll probably be starting Lupron later this year, which I and my oncologist have every reason to believe will keep my PSA under control for a long time.
