Questions in anticipation —
Any restrictions on types or duration of exercise?
Any foods to indulge in or tsay away from during SRT?
Alcohol?
How about going out in the sun during a summertime SRT?
My RO hasn't put any restrictions on my diet or exercise. He says if I develop bowel trouble -- diarrhea or excessive gas -- he'll have me cut out certain foods, but usually his SRT patients get through treatment just fine on a normal diet.
No restrictions on alcohol, despite my wife's best efforts to get any one of my PCa doctors to tell me to restrict alcohol intake. (They usually throw her a bone like "Of course, only in moderation"--I think they watch too many Bud Lite commercials.)
Caveat: no caffeine or other bladder irritants before the daily treatment. You need a full bladder, but without urgency to pee, since you have to lie still for about
10 minutes. I suppose that means no alcohol before treatment either, but as I'm not into Bloody Marys in the morning, it's not a problem.
No sun restrictions, and I live in the tropics, it's in the 80s every day even in March.
