This is not a comment on the doctors or facilities you've mentioned, only a procedural item I mention to those requesting opinions on named providers.

My husband used Dr. Ahlering last May. He came highly recommended to us by several people. One is a lawyer who specializes in medical malpractice here in the Southland. He sees a lot and he was the first to recommend him to us. Even Mitt Romney traveled to CA to have his surgery with him. His team is top notch. While we were in the interview and pre surgery process we were given his contact Anna's cell number to call with any questions we had. That was impressive and so comforting as we were trying to get out of the weeds in the decision making process.
The surgery went well and my husband was treated like a king at the surgery center. His recovery was fairly easy as my husband was in good shape and followed directions with regards to walking after. I will say that with my husband having his PSA not going to non detectable and varying between .17 and .2 we differed as to whether or not to seek additional treatment or wait and watch. We chose to consult with a radiation oncologist after and proceeded with more treatment. Please feel free to email us with any questions.
