Well, it's been just two weeks since my last SBRT CyberKnife treatment at our regional cancer center for a total of 40 Gy over five sessions. Overall, short term SE's were very manageable. There were some very minor urinary issues, mainly urgency, but no burning. Bowel issues were a bit more with some irritation, which led to a feeling of constipation, straining and aggravation of previous hemorrhoids. This lasted about 10 days, treated with the help of laxatives and hydrocortisone suppositories. Now, I am only using Metamucil to increase daily fiber and everything seems to have been 100% resolved.
Also, taking 5mg tadalafil and 0.8mg Flomax daily.
Net, very minor SE's for a (hopefully) very effective treatment. Now, just waiting to track the death curve of the bad guys.
For those with comparable stats, I certainly can advocate for SBRT at least in the short term.
